Empty user properties and Managed Application Configuration

We are using Managed Application Configuration tp provied login data to our enterprise App.
We place the account and password in the VPN Account user property and use the placeholder like e.g. $VPNPassword$.

If this property is not set on a user you send the placeholder and on the client side we get $VPNPassword$.
We are convinced if a property is not set, it should be empty.

Hi,

In this case you shouldn't write the parameter as text but select it from the dropdown - VPN accounts - VPN account name - Account for the account name, and VPN accounts - VPN account name - Password as the password.

That is what we did, but when delivering the parameter to the App, it delivers the variable placeholder.

Hi,

Thanks. I misunderstood the problem - it was with the missing user values for the configured parameter. We'll put this into our fix list. We just have to consider the correct approach for missing values. For configuration profiles, if user patameter is requested, deployment will fail if it's missing, and in this case that should be considered, too.
